For this year’s edition, 22 of the nation’s most celebrated interior designers and architectural firms have joined forces to reimagine the multi-level property, blending its rich historical character with cutting-edge contemporary aesthetics, fine art, and bespoke outdoor living spaces.
Tickets for the highly anticipated exhibition are currently available for purchase through October 15, 2026, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Over its illustrious five-decade history, the Show House has served as the organization’s signature fundraising vehicle, generating more than $35 million to support life-changing educational, extracurricular, and enrichment programs for young people throughout New York City.

The magnificent 1839 Georgian townhouse serving as this year’s canvas carries a storied past of its own. Among its former residents is the famed American composer John Philip Sousa, lending an extra layer of musical and cultural heritage to the already prestigious venue. Today, the residence provides a dramatic and nuanced backdrop for contemporary creativity, offering designers a complex architectural layout to interpret.
The 2026 Show House unfolds expansively across six distinct levels, giving visitors a comprehensive tour from the ground floor up to the sky. The journey through the residence encompasses grand entertaining spaces suited for modern social gatherings, private and intimate retreats, a dedicated wellness level designed for modern self-care and relaxation, and an expansive rooftop deck that offers sweeping, picturesque views overlooking nearby Washington Square Park. Throughout the home, the participating talents have successfully married the preserved architectural integrity of the 19th-century structure with an inspired, modern collection of custom interiors, curated art installations, and innovative outdoor environments.
Adding a fresh dimension to this year’s exhibition, Kips Bay has partnered for the very first time with esteemed art historian, advisor, and curator Gay Gassmann. Gassmann was brought on board to curate a specialized collection featuring exclusively American artists, prominently displayed along the home’s central staircase. This thoughtfully assembled curation introduces another layer of storytelling to the visitor experience, celebrating the incredible depth, variety, and diversity of contemporary American artistic talent.
