Since entering the U.S. market earlier this year, Lunaz has experienced an unprecedented wave of interest from American collectors and enthusiasts. To meet this high-volume demand, the Silverstone-based workshop is actively doubling both its operational shifts and the size of its skilled workforce at its primary production facility in England. The move marks a crucial phase of growth for the niche manufacturer, which has steadily built a reputation for transforming iconic British machinery into modern, daily-usable luxury statements.
Founded in 2018, Lunaz has carved out a unique space in the upper echelons of the automotive industry by taking legendary vehicles deeply rooted in British motoring history—ranging from early Range Rovers and Rolls-Royce classics to rare collector pieces like the Aston Martin DB5—and future-proofing them for a modern era. The company’s philosophy relies on an exhaustive restoration process. Master artisans, craftspeople, and engineers meticulously restore the vintage exteriors and luxurious interiors that established these vehicles as timeless icons, while completely re-engineering the underlying mechanics. Alongside their signature zero-emission electric powertrains, Lunaz now offers modern V-8 engines as a bespoke option, allowing clients to tailor the driving dynamics of their classic vehicle to personal preference.
To celebrate the complete sell-out of the Range Rover Classic founding series, Lunaz has revealed images of two newly completed customer commissions that vividly demonstrate the diverse range of customization possible through the workshop.
The first of these bespoke builds has been christened "Kermit," a vibrant creation that reinterprets the legendary four-wheel-drive platform through a distinct Pop Art lens. The four-door SUV is finished in a striking, vivid green exterior paint that immediately commands attention. This bold color choice successfully carries over into the vehicle’s spacious and finely appointed interior, where it is offset by energetic white and orange contrast stripes running along the bespoke seating. In stark contrast to the flamboyant nature of "Kermit," the second commission—aptly named "Nevada"—strikes a decidedly more understated, sophisticated note.
