The result is a moody, meticulously crafted environment that evokes the restrained elegance and atmospheric gravity of mid-century Milanese design, transposed onto a contemporary urban corner in Taiwan.
Quadrifoglio by Alfa Romeo Informs Café’s Interior Details
The foundational concept of Caffè Fortuna revolves around the deconstruction of the Quadrifoglio. Originally painted on Alfa Romeo racing cars driven by legends like Ugo Sivocci in the 1920s to bring good luck, the four-leaf clover has evolved into a symbol of high-performance craftsmanship and racing pedigree. RLWW Studio took this deeply symbolic emblem and broke it down into rational, clean geometric forms, translating its contours into beveled profiles, custom woodwork, and subtle architectural details.
These geometric gestures appear in unexpected places throughout the venue, from the design of the door handles to the patterns inlaid within the custom tiles. Every touchpoint inside Caffè Fortuna is designed to reflect a sense of precision engineering, echoing the mechanical accuracy required in classic automobile manufacturing.
