Grass America, a prominent supplier of functional hardware to the cabinet industry, has announced the appointment of Angelika Hofmann as its new Chief Executive Officer. In her new leadership role, Hofmann will take charge of guiding the company’s overarching strategic direction and daily operations while advancing its enduring commitment to delivering quality-driven hardware solutions for customers and partners across the North American market.
Hofmann steps into the chief executive position after previously serving as the company’s chief operating officer and as a member of the Grass America Management Board. Since first joining the organization, she has played a pivotal role in bringing key stakeholders together across various departments. By developing cross-functional teams, applying a high-energy and outside perspective, and actively fostering a corporate culture centered on constructive collaboration and solution-oriented thinking, she has helped position the company for sustainable operational success.
Although she was initially new to the cabinet hardware industry when she first joined Grass America, Hofmann approached every facet of the business with deep intellectual curiosity. She worked diligently to thoroughly understand the organization’s core strengths, continually asking how the enterprise could build upon them and encouraging her teams to identify the exact resources and capabilities needed to take Grass America to the next level of excellence. Her proven ability to promote open idea sharing and meaningfully engage employees across multiple functions has notably strengthened the internal organization. As CEO, she will guide Grass America through its next vital phase of growth while rigorously reinforcing the company’s long-standing industry reputation for product innovation, manufacturing reliability, and robust customer partnerships.
Bringing a truly global perspective to her executive responsibilities, Hofmann was born in Japan and initially began her professional career in Germany before spending the past several years living and working in the United States. This international trajectory has built upon her extensive, multi-faceted background in corporate finance, financial controlling, and advanced manufacturing operations. Prior to joining Grass America, she served as the Head of Finance and Controlling at Zeiss Industrial Metrology in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She earned her professional diploma from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University located in Frankfurt, Germany, where she established a strong foundational expertise in international accounting practices alongside a deep, practical familiarity with complex production and manufacturing environments.
As Chief Executive Officer, Hofmann will assume comprehensive oversight of Grass America’s overall business strategy and performance metrics. Her expansive executive portfolio will encompass financial management and controlling, production operations, information technology, human resources, purchasing, and commercial operations. Company leadership notes that her rare blend of technical expertise, collaborative leadership style, and forward-looking strategic approach will strongly support the organization’s ongoing ability to serve its customers effectively, invest meaningfully in its workforce, and build securely for a stable and prosperous future.
