After moving back to California just a year ago, celebrity couple Vanessa and Nick Lachey have decided to leave the Golden State behind once more for what they are describing as a new chapter. Their sprawling Los Angeles home is officially on the market, listed for an eye-catching $8.2 million.
The high-profile Love Is Blind co-hosts have a long and somewhat winding history with the property, having owned the Southern California estate on two separate occasions. According to reports from Mansion Global, the couple originally purchased the striking residence from retired NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb in December 2020 for $5.1 million. At the time, the home served as a comfortable mainland base for the growing family.
However, their lifestyle shifted dramatically in 2021 when Vanessa snagged the starring role of Jane Tennant in the television drama NCIS: Hawaiʻi. Following the career move, the family packed up their belongings and relocated to a sun-drenched beachside dwelling in Honolulu. With their primary residence shifted across the Pacific, the Lacheys quietly offloaded their Los Angeles mansion to tennis superstar Naomi Osaka in 2022 for $6.3 million.

During Osaka’s three-year residency in the Tarzana neighborhood, the four-time Grand Slam champion made significant privacy and luxury upgrades to the property. Recognizing the need for high-level security as a globally recognized athlete, Osaka reportedly added heavy-duty gates, mature privacy hedges, an advanced network of security cameras, and motion detectors. Additionally, she expanded the compound’s functionality by upgrading an 800-square-foot guest house, outfitting it with a personal gym, a practical kitchenette, and a spa-like bathroom that matched the main residence’s high-end aesthetic.
The real estate dynamics shifted again in 2024 when CBS announced the cancellation of NCIS: Hawaiʻi. Following the show’s sudden end, the Lachey family of five decided to return to the mainland. Rather than starting from scratch in a brand-new neighborhood, they decided to reacquire their former home, buying the property back from Osaka in August 2025 for $7.9 million.

Now, just a short time after returning to California, the family has reportedly decided to ditch the state altogether, packing up their lives once more to leave the expansive six-bedroom, eight-bathroom digs behind. Despite their frequent comings and goings, the couple holds deep affection for the property and the memories built within its walls.
"We love living at this house. It provided so many great memories," the couple said in a joint statement regarding the sale. "We’re happy and excited for the next family to carry on the tradition and continue to love it as much as we did."
The Cape Cod-style residence, originally built in 2014, is situated in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood of Tarzana. It seamlessly blends traditional New England architectural elements with classic Southern California indoor-outdoor living, offering picturesque, sweeping views of the surrounding San Fernando Valley. As one would naturally expect given the property’s star-studded roster of former residents, the sprawling 6,855-square-foot pad is packed to the brim with elite luxury amenities.
Interior highlights of the main house include a magnificent chef’s kitchen equipped with a double island, custom cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a separate, sunlit breakfast nook for casual family meals. For entertaining guests, the residence features a sophisticated wet bar and a dedicated climate-controlled wine cellar. Daily entertainment and wellness needs are easily met with an on-site movie theater, a professional-grade gym, and a resort-style swimming pool that serves as the centerpiece of the rear patio landscape.

The outdoor grounds are equally impressive, offering recreational spaces tailored for an active celebrity lifestyle. Both a full basketball court and a trendy pickleball court can be found on the lush premises, providing ample room for sports and outdoor recreation without ever needing to leave the safety of the gated compound.
As the property hits the luxury market once again, it remains unconfirmed where the Lachey family is planning to head next as they prepare to exit California. Real estate heavyweights Mauricio Umansky and Craig Knizek of The Agency currently hold the high-profile listing, managing the sale of the storied San Fernando Valley estate.
